Verdict: I reviewed the RØDE NTH-100 headphones for Forbes in March and was impressed with their overall performance. Now RØDE has added a broadcast-quality boom microphone that’s ideal for podcasting, live streaming and gaming. The NTH-100M is the perfect headset for live work and keeps the mic at the ideal distance from the speaker’s mouth. When the microphone isn’t needed, it can quickly be taken off so the user can listen to music comfortably. One accessory I’d like to see with the NTH-100M is the option of a cable that terminates in an XLR plug with a plug-in power transformer for the mic and a 6.35mm TRS jack so that the headset can connect with a USB audio interface or an ISDN terminal.
