German audio brand beyerdynamic has announced the latest generation of its flagship XELENTO earbuds in remote and wireless configurations. These high-end earbuds are a piece of jewelry and a premium audio instrument.
Handcrafted at beyerdynamic’s Heilbronn factory, the new XELENTO earbuds not only look a million dollars but are designed to produce a detailed, spatial and deep sound that can be personalized. The earbuds are sweat and water-resistant, plus they offer a choice of connections that make them the ideal partner for travel and leisure.

The Tesla driver is a dynamic 11mm one-way driver fitter with special acoustic filters. The company’s engineers claim they have achieved the highest performance and sound quality for an in-ear design that provides even more fine detail and lightness in the higher frequencies. With finely tuned mids, highs and bass, beyerdynamic says it has raised sound quality to a new level.
The new XELENTO earbuds use gold-plated plugs and silver-plated cables. The exterior housing contains 24-carat gold and is designed to offer ergonomic comfort. The earbuds are supplied with seven pairs of silicone ear tips specially developed by beyerdynamic for individual fit preferences and high acoustic performance. Comply Memory Foam ear tips are also provided in three sizes for exceptional passive sound isolation.
Both new XELENTO models have a cable terminated with a 3.5 mm jack plug. There’s a remote control with a hands-free microphone for making phone calls, taking part in video conferences and using voice assistants like Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant.

The XELENTO wireless model features a high-quality Bluetooth 5.2 neckband that provides up to 14 hours of playtime from a single battery charge. The neckband includes a digital-to-analog converter and amplifier made by AKM. This produces an audiophile wireless performance with support for hi-res audio codecs like LHDC, Qualcomm aptX HD and aptX.
Both these new versions use the MMCX connector system for their detachable cables. The XELENTO remote can be transformed into a wireless version by buying the Bluetooth neckband separately. Meanwhile, the Pentaconn cable can be purchased separately for use with the XELENTO wireless version.
